John Dean
John Dean is a 6th generation Texan, with roots steeped in hunting, fishing and ranching heritage, having been raised on a central Texas ranch. John graduated from Texas A&M with a degree in Renewable Natural Resources, along with minors and extensive curriculum in Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences and Rangeland Ecology and Management. He has a wonderful wife named Tori and a dog named Annie May.
Early on, hunting and fishing were established as a lifestyle, and as a result, he has hunted on leases and privately owned properties in central Texas and the Hill Country for over 20 years. John has experience in hunting and guiding on low-fence and high-fence properties throughout the state. In central Texas, he has been able to turn several small acreage properties into areas that can be hunted for white-tailed deer as well as profitably used for agricultural operations.
Along with hunting operations, John has experience with managing privately-owned lakes and ponds as a fisheries biologist. Areas of knowledge include fish stocking, electroshocking survey data interpretation, supplemental feeding programs as well as aesthetic lake improvements.
John works primarily with recreational and agricultural real estate, and has dealt extensively with water rights on properties throughout Central Texas. John is also an FAA licensed Remote Pilot for commercially operating drones, and is the owner/operator of Texas Drone Productions, which specializes in aerial videos for real estate listings.
John is a licensed real estate broker, and is also active in: Rockdale Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, Rockdale Downtown Association, Texas Wildlife Association, Texas Trophy Hunters Association, Dallas Safari Club, Aggie Real Estate Network, 12th Man Foundation, & Texas A&M Association of Former Students. He is also a member of the Bryan-College Station Regional Association of REALTORS.
John focuses primarily on recreational and agricultural properties in Milam, Burleson, Bell, Robertson, Burnet and Brazos counties.
